You must file a Partnership Return of Income (Form 565) if youre: Engaged in a trade or business in California. Have income from California sources. Use a Pass-Through Entity Ownership (Schedule EO 568) to report any ownership interest in other partnerships or limited liability companies.
The business privilege tax is an annual tax paid by corporations and limited liability entities (including disregarded entities) for the privilege of conducting business in Alabama. The Alabama Business Tax law is found in Chapter 14A, Title 40, Code of Alabama 1975.
According to the Alabama business privilege tax law, every corporation, limited liability entity, and disregarded entity doing business in Alabama or organized, incorporated, qualified, or registered under the laws of Alabama is required to file an Alabama Business Privilege Tax Return and Annual Report.
Corporations are no longer required to file an annual report with Alabamas Secretary of State. The legislation repealing the requirement went into effect on October 1, 2024. Corporations must still file a business privilege tax return with the states Department of Revenue.
