Letter of Reference Requirement Applicants must provide three references from individuals who know you and your abilities. Ideally, the references should come from a healthcare provider (PA, MD, NP), science professor and/or someone who has seen the applicant interact with patients (i.e manager).
A minimum MCAT score of 500 is required to be eligible for interview consideration and must be taken within 3 years of matriculation. Though multiple MCAT attempts are permitted, the highest composite MCAT score is factored into an applicants overall competitiveness. The average accepted MCAT is 511.
The goal of shadowing is to help an applicant articulate the role of a PA and explain why they want to be a PA. A minimum of two (2) letters of reference are required with a maximum of five (5) letters allowed through the CASPA application process.
Decisions of acceptance into the PAS program are made on a competitive basis. Prospective students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be considered for acceptance into the program. Do I need to take the GRE or PA-CAT? No, standardized testing is not required.
