The PASL assessment consists of three tasks. For each task, you will submit written commentary and artifacts. For Task 3, you will also submit a video. During your clinical experience, you should collect multiple artifacts and videos in case you need to resubmit any tasks.
The Performance Assessment for School Leaders (PASL) is an evidence-based performance assessment designed to assess instructional leadership during a candidates clinical experience prior to receiving a license.
The PASL assessment has three tasks that are centrally scored by ETS-trained raters using rubrics that contain quantitative and qualitative elements of evidence. When scoring your task, raters review your written commentary, the artifacts that you linked to your written commentary, and video.
The scoring of the PASL assessment takes place immediately following the candidates submission deadline and lasts for approximately two weeks. Ongoing Semiannual Submission Windows (Spring and Fall Each Testing Year): Raters must submit their availability and are scheduled based on program needs.
