Section 3.5 of the LAT Act will apply to leases or agreements executed after January 1, 2025.
Your landlord must notify you in writing that he/she intends to terminate the lease. If you are renting month-to-month, you are entitled to a 30-day written notice. Leases running year-to-year require a 60-day written notice.
The notice period will depend on the tenancy or agreement, but its usually at least 4 weeks.
Serving the Eviction Notice Hand Delivery: The notice can be delivered directly to the tenant or to an individual over 13 years of age residing on the premises.
