Students intending to withdraw from their course of study must complete a prescribed "Withdrawal Form" and return it to the Admissions Office as soon as possible. a) Students may obtain a full refund of tuition fees for that semester (less administrative fee*).
If you fail an elective module, you may apply to take a different elective or the same elective again in subsequent semesters. Note that if you fail the same elective twice, you will be removed from the course of study.
Dropping or Withdrawing From a Class All requests to drop or withdraw from academic classes or programs must be submitted in writing to the Extended Education Office in Building 52, Room E34, emailed to extended@calpoly.edu, or faxed to (805) 756-5933. If it is after the class start date, a form is required.
The online LOA may be accessed from the e-Services/e-Resources > Attendance > Apply/View of Leave of Absence (LOA). The application should be submitted in advance prior to the period of absence if the reason is known beforehand (e.g. reserve service, chickenpox, measles, hospitalization, national competitions).
