HOUSING ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS (HAP) CONTRACT (HUD-52641) WHAT: A form that the landlord and PHA complete that governs the housing assistance payments under the Housing Choice Voucher Program. It is a HUD contract that governs the relationship of the PHA and the landlord.
The PHA may enter into a HAP contract with an owner for an initial term of up to 20 years for each contract unit. The length of the term of the HAP contract for any contract unit may not be less than one year, nor more than 20 years.
HAP Assignment means an assignment of agreement to enter housing assistance payments contract and housing assistance payments executed by Borrower in favor of Lender, dated as of even date herewith, in form and substance acceptable to Lender in its sole and absolute discretion.
