What is a hold? A hold is a block on your account that prohibits you from performing an action like registering for classes or requesting a transcript. Most holds are financial holds and result from the students tuition or fees not being paid before a deadline.
Transcript Hold: a high school or college transcript from your previous institution(s) has not been received.
The transcript stored in your Parchment account will not update automatically, so you would need to request to have the latest version of your transcript delivered to your Parchment account.
Holds are added to your record for a variety of reasons: Generally, they indicate that a University office needs you to resolve something (pay a bill, return a book), do something (orientation), or see someone (advisement) before the hold can be removed.
If you have a hold, click the Student Center and look for the blue box in the upper right corner labeled "Holds." Click on "Details" and then click on the hyperlink under the column labelled "Hold Item" to learn how to lift the hold. If there is a hyperlink that says "Remove Hold" in the last column, click on that.
