How long is the academy? LSP Training Academy classes are approximately 22 weeks long. The LSP Training Academy is a residential academy with cadets required to stay at the academy Sunday-Friday of each week. Depending on the start date, academy length may vary to compensate for holidays.
The cadet-training program is rigorous and comprehensive. We challenge every Cadet physically, academically, and spiritually to strengthen the whole person and transform into their best self.
How long is the academy? LSP Training Academy classes are approximately 22 weeks long.
Recruit basic training began at the Academy in October 1976. Since then, the Academy provided instruction for 21 258-hour Recruit basic training classes. Today, Recruit basic training is a 640-hour (16 weeks) comprehensive training course.
