T4 certification is the entry-level teaching certification in Georgia for individuals who hold a bachelors degree and have completed a state-accepted teacher preparation program. It is the minimum certification required to teach in public schools at all levels, including high school.
Level Five (5) - completion of a masters degree or the GaPSCs determined degree equivalent. A masters degree is the minimum degree requirement for service fields and non-performance based leadership certification.
T5 certification is part of the tiered certification system provided by Georgias educator certification agency, the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC). Teachers who want to docHub the T5 certification level need to have a masters degree and must apply for T5 certification through the GaPSC.
STANDARD RENEWAL (SRT, SRS): Educators who have completed an education degree and have earned more than three years of successful teaching experience. This certificate is a five-year certificate.
Candidates completing an M.A.T. (Master of Arts in Teaching) program in Special Education, Middle Grades Education, or Secondary Education will be recommended for a T-5 teaching induction certificate, valid for two years.
