[Music] hello everyone how are you doing this is mdtech here of another quick tutorial today Im going to show you guys how to create a comment on Microsoft Word so if youre revising somebodys paper and you want to make sure that they easily can see where in the paper youre referring to if you have a comment or suggestion this tutorial will be for you so were going to jump right into it so the first thing you want to do is make sure you go underneath the insert tab at the top should be a third tab from the left side and then you want to go over to wherever you want to make your comment so you can highlight over something if you wanted to so lets highlight this sentence for example and then Im going to left-click on this comment button right here which should insert a comment so you can see that I highlighted this area and now it is highlighted in this comment color so at this point on the right side you can enter a comment you could say anything you want Im going to say not det

Turn on Overtype mode In the Word Options dialog box, choose Advanced. Under Editing options, do one of the following: To use Insert key to control Overtype mode, select the Use Insert key to control overtype check box. To keep Overtype mode enabled always, select the Use overtype mode check box.
When you have your text selected, look on the Home tab of Words Ribbon. In the Font group, click the Strikethrough button (its the three letters with a line drawn through them). Now, any text you had selected should be struck through. You can also apply strikethrough formatting using the Font window.
Open Word. Go to File Word Option Advanced. Uncheck the Use the Insert key to control overtype mode option under the Editing options. Close Word.
Turn off overtype mode: Click File Options. Click Advanced. Under Editing options, clear both the Use the Insert key to control overtype mode and the Use overtype mode check boxes.
When the Update Processor is first entered, it is in overtype mode. This means any characters typed overwrite the characters on the screen. Insert mode is used to insert new text just in front of the text beginning at the cursor.
Alternatively called OVR in Microsoft Word, overtype mode is a text mode that will overwrite text to the right of the cursor as the user types. This mode, if its supported, is usually entered and exited by pressing the Insert key.
1. Press the Ins key to toggle overtype mode off. Depending on your keyboard model, this key may also be labeled Insert. If you simply want to disable overtype mode but keep the ability to toggle it back on, you are done.
