hi this is Steve from the Google apps tips team here in the UK and of course you can find us online at gaps tips.com and on the usual G+ and Twitter channels so todayamp;#39;s video tip is to show you how to work with zip files in Google Drive and um Iamp;#39;m also going to give you a bonus tip on how to save things from Gmail into um Google Drive so Iamp;#39;m going to start today here in in my Gmail and Iamp;#39;ve got an email Iamp;#39;ve sent to myself with an attachment and it says please find attached zip file so if I click into here we can see that there is an attachment okay five file.zip if I click on this Iamp;#39;ll get a preview mode and at this point it is off offering me to open it with an external application but Iamp;#39;m just going to move back into the Gmail obviously I could download this and work on it uh conventionally uh on our desktop computer but Iamp;#39;m going to save it to Google Google Drive so weamp;#39;re going to click there and save t

Press and hold (or right-click) the file or folder, select (or point to) Send to, and then select Compressed (zipped) folder. A new zipped folder with the same name is created in the same location. To rename it, press and hold (or right-click) the folder, select Rename, and then type the new name.
Inserting a document Click or tap where you want to insert the content of the existing document. Go to Insert and select the arrow next to Object . Select Text from File.
