hello everyone my name is ting hao wang and iamp;#39;m currently a student at harvard today iamp;#39;ll present our paper about covert and robust white box watermarking of deep neural networks this is joint work with professor florian kirschbaum at university waterloo product marketing enables model owners to trace copy deep learning models once they are released watermark is a secret message embedded into the deep learning model and the message can only be retrieved with a secret key there are two types of phone marking for deep neural networks black box and white box in black box water marking a watermark could be extracted by only coringamp;#39;s model while in white box setting we need full access to model parameters to extract watermark however recent studies show that black box watermarks necessarily impact model accuracy which could be unacceptable for some simply critical applications such as cancer diagnosis in contrast white box water watermarking can work without accuracy
