Translate websites In your browser, go to Google Translate. At the top, click Websites. We recommend setting the original language to Detect language. In the Website, enter a URL. Click Go .
You can use wpmlobjectid () to get elements ID in the current language or in another specified language and then can use either getpermalink to get the permalink of the translated post using the ID obtained from the said hook.
Automatically Translating URL Slugs Navigate to Settings TranslatePress and hit the Automatic Translation tab. Scroll down to Automatically translate slugs and check the box. Then hit Save Changes. Note: For this to work, youll need to have automatic translation enabled for your site.

If you would like to change to a different format after setting up WPML, you can do so by going to WPML Languages and scrolling to Language URL format. You can choose from the following options: Different languages in directories. A different domain per language.
Choosing to display the language as a parameter adds the language at the end of your sites URL. For example: .example.com/? lang=fr.
To link a translation: Edit your translated page. Expand the Language section and set the language of your page. Then, switch to WordPress Editor, and in the popup that appears, leave the selection at This Post.
