so computers work by using a bunch of ones and zeros like this but how does this turn in something as crazy and complex as a video game to understand this we need to look at the most basic levels of computer language starting with binary binary is a language only computers will understand and this is called machine language this is comprised of zeros and ones and cannot be really directly read by humans these numbers tell the computer what to do through transistors now these transistors are just switches they can either be on which will designate a one or off which is a zero each of these switches is one bit of information the computer has combine eight of these bits together and you have one byte of information and for reference one gigabyte is equal to over a billion of these bits we can actually convert these bytes into decimal numbers that you might be familiar with and I actually have a whole video on that so if you want to go ahead check out my how to read and write binary video

The value of a binary number is the sum of the powers of 2 represented by each 1 bit. For example, the binary number 100101 is converted to decimal form as follows: 1001012 = [ ( 1 ) 25 ] + [ ( 0 ) 24 ] + [ ( 0 ) 23 ] + [ ( 1 ) 22 ] + [ ( 0 ) 21 ] + [ ( 1 ) 20 ]
The key to reading binary is separating the code into groups of usually 8 digits and knowing that each 1 or 0 represents a 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128, ect. from the right to the left. the numbers are easy to remember because they start at 1 and then are multiplied by 2 every time.
Add up all of the numbers that have a binary 1 place holder. In the example, add 256 + 128 + 32 + 4 + 1, which gives you a result of 421. Use this number in your calculations. Drop the left-most binary 0 from your number, and you end up with the binary number; 1001111101 in place of 637.
To convert a decimal number to binary, you need to follow these steps: Divide the decimal number by 2 and write down the integer result (ignore the remainder). Repeat step 1 with the integer result until you get 0. Write down the remainders (in reverse order) of each division as 0 or 1 to get the binary equivalent.
The binary system is a way of representing data using 0s and 1s. This system is used by computers to represent all the data it works with.
The ASCII code takes each character on the keyboard and assigns it a binary number. For example: the letter a has the binary number 0110 0001 (this is the denary number 97) the letter b has the binary number 0110 0010 (this is the denary number 98)

So calcium is the metal oxide is the nonmetal. Next step were going to write the symbols CA.
Here are the steps for converting decimal numbers into binary: Step 1: Divide the given decimal number by 2 and note down the remainder and quotient. Step 2: Now, divide the quotient obtained in step 1 by 2, and note down the remainder again. Step 3: Repeat the above steps until you get 0 as the quotient.
