So, Word, Google Docs, all these different applications support dictation where you could talk in real time, and itamp;#39;ll convert it into text. With transcribe, the unique thing here is you can record your audio ahead of time. So letamp;#39;s say you have your phone and maybe youamp;#39;re conducting, letamp;#39;s say an interview, maybe youamp;#39;re sitting in a lecture and you record the audio. You can take that audio file, upload it into Word online, and get a transcription of all of the conversation. Go to Review Track Changes. In the Track Changes drop-down list, select one of the following: To track only the changes that you make to the document, select Just Mine. To track changes to the document made by all users, select For Everyone.
There are 2 kinds of Microsoft word documents. DOCX (documents that cant run macros), and DOCM (documents that can run macros.)
DOCX is a file format used for storing documents created in Microsoft Word. It is part of the office open extensible markup language (XML) office open XML (OOXML) format and is an evolution of the older . doc format. DOCX files support advanced features like formatting, images, tables, and more.
Enable editing in your document Go to File Info. Select Protect document. Select Enable Editing.
Use Track Changes Select Review Track Changes to turn it on. Make edits in your document and Word captures any edits you make. Select Review Track Changes to turn it off. Word stops making new edits, and any made stay in the document.
Find the Track Changes button Once you open the Review tab, locate the Track Changes button. This often appears as an icon of a page with lines and a pencil on top of it, labeled Track Changes. Click on this button to open a list of Track Changes options.
Click the File tab. Click Info to view the document properties. To add or change properties, hover your pointer over the property you want to update and enter the information. Note that for some metadata, such as Author, youll have to right-click on the property and choose Remove or Edit.
Track Changes is locked and can only be disabled with the password. Also, you cannot accept or reject changes while Track Changes is locked. To unlock Track Changes, click the Track Changes button list arrow again, select Lock Tracking, enter the password, then click OK.
