To put a name on top of an image in code, you can use HTML and CSS. First, youll need to add an image tag in your HTML code with the src attribute pointing to your image file. Then, you can create a div element or a paragraph element containing the name you want to display on top of the image.
First and foremost, a good title is a descriptive one. But, theres a caveat to that! You dont want the title to be too descriptive because thats the job of the photograph. It should be something that, like the photograph itself, sparks interest and draws viewers in.
Click the picture you want to add a caption to. Click References Insert Caption. To use the default label (Figure), type your caption in the Caption box.
An image title is essentially the name of an image. Its the text that appears when a user hovers their mouse right above the image. It is distinct from an image description, which normally appears as a more textually heavy caption underneath the image.
For example, when hovering over the below image a tooltip a cat looking at the camera pops up, which is the image title tag being shown to the user.
Captions describe images to help users relate them to surrounding text. Titles identify images and number them in long-form content.
Keep the title tag brief and to the point, using concise language to convey relevant details about the image. That being said, its still important to be descriptive so that no intended meaning is left out for users search engines to understand its context.
