MacOS Download a resource pack of your choice. Do NOT unzip the resource pack just move the .zip file to Minecrafts resource pack folder (Should be at ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/resourcepacks ) Open up Minecraft and login to your account. At the main menu select Options, then Resource Packs

In the Shader editor, either click Add on the header or use the keyboard shortcut Shift + A. Hover over Texture, then select Image Texture as you see in the screenshot above. The Image Texture node will appear as a panel. Drop the Image Texture node in the Shader editor.
This is done by enabling the Require resource pack option on the Options page and restarting your server. Players will then have the choice to either load the resource pack or disconnect from your server.
To reload chunks, players need to press the F3+A key combination. This is a great way to have every entity in the rendered world load again to fill in for issues like missing or broken textures. To reload textures from resource packs, players need to press the F3+T key combination.
Minecraft/How to download a Texture Pack Download a resource pack from the site of your choice. Open Minecraft. If you are in a Minecraft world, press escape. Click Resource Packs button. ( Click Open Resource Pack Folder button; this will open the folder where Minecraft stores all texture packs.
How to your Add-On in an existing world Open Minecraft and click the Play button. Click the pencil icon. to edit the world youd like to activate an Add-On for. Select the Resource Packs tab. Once youve identified the Add-On youd like to activate, hit the Activate button.
Creating a Texture Pack Navigate to the Textures folder. Find a texture category that you want to edit and open its folder. Open a texture in an image editing program. Edit your texture. Save over the image file. Edit any other textures that you want to change. Go back to the folder with the version number.
