On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Text Box. In the worksheet, click and drag to draw the text box the size that you want. To add text, click inside the box and type or paste your text.

Align text vertically Right-click the text box for which you want to set vertical alignment. On the shortcut menu, click Format Text Box. In the Format Text Box dialog box, click the Text Box tab. In the Vertical alignment box, select Top, Middle, or Bottom. Click OK.
Select the text that you want to center. in the Page Setup group, and then click the Layout tab. In the Vertical alignment box, click Center. In the Apply to box, click Selected text, and then click OK.
Position text vertically in a shape or text box Right-click the border of the shape or text box. On the shortcut menu, select Format Shape. In the Format Shape pane, select Size/Layout Properties . Select the option that you want in the Vertical alignment list.
In Word, choose INSERTText Box. From the bottom of the dropdown, choose Draw Text Box. Draw the text box in the approximate position where you want it. From the DRAWING TOOLS tab, choose Position, then More Layout Options.
- Insert the text box or object that you want to freeze. - Right-click on the object and select Format Object from the menu. - In the Format Object dialog box, select the Properties tab. - Under the Properties tab, select Dont move or size with cells and Move but dont size with cells.
