hi itamp;#39;s Michelle and Michelle James designs and today we are going over another Photoshop eight tutorial for you just a short one like always and today we are going Iamp;#39;m going to show you how to create a text box and these are really nice for scrapbooking if youamp;#39;re working next to photos or whatever if you have especially with the project like that I do digital project life just nice to be able to create a text box in one of those 3 by 4 cards that Iamp;#39;m using on my page so Iamp;#39;m just gonna open a new document and I think I want it to be like 4 inches by 6 inches and I wanted to my resolution to be 300 and my background to be white okay so now over on the tools panel over here weamp;#39;re going to click the text and create a box so you just click where you want it to start and create a box so now itamp;#39;s gonna type centered so if you donamp;#39;t want it to be centered say we want it right justified think when Iamp;#39;m doing a text box okay

Changing the background color of a text box in docHub Photoshop is easy. First, select the text box by clicking on it with your mouse cursor. Then, click on the Fill icon located at the top of the window and choose a new color from the Color Picker menu or type in an RGB value to create a custom color.
If you want to edit a text layer, youll need to double-click the layer icon in the Layers panel. You can then change the text, resize the text box, or use the options in the Control panel to choose a different font or modify text size and color.
From the toolbar, select the Horizontal Type tool or the Vertical Type tool . Do one of the following: To create a single line of text, click in the image to set an insertion point for the type. To create paragraph text, drag a rectangle to create a textbox for the type.
Open a photo or Photoshop document (PSD). From the toolbar, select the Type tool or simply press T to quickly select it. The Horizontal Type Tool with which you can add text horizontally is selected by default.
Click the Type tool in the Tool bar to select it. Place the Type tool inside the shape. The cursor will turn to an I-beam with a dotted circular outline around it. Now you can either type or paste your text.
Add a text box Place cursor where you want the text box to appear. Go to Insert and in Illustrations select Drawing. Select Text Box and use your cursor to create the text box. Insert text in box and apply any styling needed. Select Save andClose.
Type Tool Select the Horizontal Type Tool ( ) from the Tools Palette. Click and drag to create a text frame. Use the Tool Options Palette or Character Palette to select your desired font and font size. Type your text. Select the Move Tool to deactivate the Type Tool move your text box to desired location on document.
If youre changing the existing text, select one or more characters whose font you want to change. To change the font of all characters in a layer, select the text layer in the Layers panel, and then use the buttons and menus in the options bar to change the font type, style, size, alignment, and color.
