Select the Insert tab, then click the Text Box command in the Text group. A drop-down menu will appear.
If the box is too small for the text: Select the text box, then drag the clipping indicator until all text is showing. You can also drag a selection handle. If the box is too large for the text: Select the text box, then drag a selection handle to resize the text box.
Insert a text box in Office for Mac On the Insert menu, click Text Box. Click in your file where youd like to insert the text box, hold your mouse button down, then drag to draw the text box the size that you want. After youve drawn the text box click inside it to add text.
