You may have a need to do this if you have your user fill out the name at the top of the form, and then you want to have that name filled in in other places in the document. Be sure and check out the playlist on my channel for creating fillable forms. Alright, letamp;#39;s get started. So, in this form, weamp;#39;ve created a document that has Legacy tool form fields, and I have a plain text form field for the user to fill in their name at the top of the form. Then, down here, I have two places where I want to have that name repeated in the document without the user having to fill in their name three times. Add a comment from the context menu or from Review New Comment. Type @ and the first few letters of the persons first or last name, and then pick the name you want (If they dont already have permission to open the document, youll be asked to provide that).
Click the File tab. Click Info to view the document properties. To add or change properties, hover your pointer over the property you want to update and enter the information. Note that for some metadata, such as Author, youll have to right-click on the property and choose Remove or Edit.
While the document is open, click the File tab to open the Info page. Under Properties on the right side, click in the box next to the Tags item and type the words you want. Separate them with spaces or punctuation. If the document isnt open, you can use File Explorer.

How to Add Tags to Word Files Go to File Save As. Select Browse. In Word 2010, skip this step. Choose where to save the document and enter a name for the file. Windows File Explorer Its the same process for both versions: Right-click on the file you want to tag, and select Properties. Go to the Details tab. Click the Tags option, and enter the tags you want to add, separated by semicolons.
