Open a blank document and navigate to the Labels option The toolbar is the panel that runs along the top of the screen where you can select various document management options. After selecting the Mailings tab, click on the Labels option to open the Envelopes and Labels window.
Okay, the first thing you do is run Microsoft Word and open a new document. Next, insert a text box and place it where you want the sticker to print on the page. Now, right click on the box and add text to the box. Now, if you just want a background for your sticker and text, you can insert that now.
How to format labels and create label templates Open a blank document and navigate to the Labels option. Open the label options menu. Enter your label measurements. Name and open your template. Save, revise and format your label design. Use good design principles. Apply existing templates. Double-check for formatting errors.
How to Print Avery Labels on Word Click the Mailings tab at the top of the screen. Select Labels and click More at the bottom of the screen. docx file is a Word document, while a . dotx file is a Word template. Both can be opened and edited in Microsoft Word, but a . dotx file opens as a new document to preserve the original template.

Word opens a new document that contains a table with dimensions that match the label product. If gridlines are not displayed, go to Layout View Gridlines to turn gridlines on.
