Simply make a paste of water and baking soda, and rub it onto your stain. As the paste dries, the baking soda will draw out the blood stain from the sheet. After thirty minutes, rinse off the sheet, and repeat if necessary. Again, launder the sheets in cold water once the stain is removed.
The first step you must take as soon as you notice bloodstains on your sheet is to soak them in cold water, preferably overnight. In the morning, pour some hydrogen peroxide on the stain and gently scrub it using a gentle brush. Next, machine wash the sheets with a mild detergent, and voila! You are good to go.
With OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover, you can get rid of those old, set-in stains and get that shirt back into your rotation. Fill scoop with OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover powder to line 4 per 1 gallon of water.
Start by stripping off what you can (as described above), then seal the wood with a water-thin mix of de-waxed shellac and alcohol. Saturate the wood with the solution and wipe it off. Let it dry for 2 hours. Then switch to a 100 percent pigmented stain, such as Varathane (most stains are a mix of dye and pigment).
Soak in Cold Water Fill a basin or tub with cold water and soak your bedsheet for at least 30 minutes. If the stain wont go away, add a bit of salt or enzyme-based stain remover to the water.
Tide Free Gentle Liquid Laundry Detergent removed more grease and oil stains in our testing than any other stain remover we evaluated, including stain removers specifically intended to remove grease. A pick in our guide to laundry detergent, this liquid absorbs easily into fabrics for both pretreating and soaking.
Soak the stained area in cool water, then pretreat with a stain-removing spray, liquid detergent, or a paste made with water and powdered detergent. Next, wash with regular or oxygen bleach.
Cover the entire stain with soda water and add table salt to the area. Cover with boiling water and let soak for half an hour, then pop in the wash with ⅓ cup of baking soda and wash on a normal cycle. Remember, the more time the stain has to set, the harder it will be to remove, so get onto it ASAP.
