hi my name is vince farrell and iamp;#39;m a senior applications engineer here at hawker systems today i want to show you a sketch tool that can really help any design where smooth curvature is a concern iamp;#39;m going to show you the fit spline here iamp;#39;m working on a handle for a wrench you can see that i have a sweep for the top portion with the display style set to shaded the curve that i put on the sweep doesnamp;#39;t look that bad however if i switch to shaded with edges now you can see where thereamp;#39;s room for improvement you can clearly see the transitions between the lines and arcs that i used in my sketch the part is going to be molded and this might not be visible to the naked eye but the user will likely feel it when they grab the handle hereamp;#39;s where the fit spline can help first iamp;#39;ll roll back the part to below the sweep so that i can make changes without affecting the fillet then iamp;#39;ll open the sketch used to create the pat

On the Insert tab, select Shapes. Select the shape you want from the drop-down gallery. A default-sized shape is immediately inserted in the middle of the visible page. Select a sizing handle on the perimeter of the shape and drag inward or outward to change the size of the shape.

Click one of the toolbars shapes to turn your cursor into a crosshair. Click inside your document, hold down your left mouse button and drag the cursor down towards the right to draw your shape.
