If you want to show edits made in a document, turn on Track Changes. Select Review, Track Changes, and Word captures any edits you make. To turn off Track Changes, select Track Changes. Word stops making new edits, and any made stay in the document. You can always see markups that someone makes. Select Display for Review and select the option you want. Simple Markup points out where changes are with a red line in the margin, All Markup shows all edits with different colors of text and lines, No Markup hides markup to show what the incorporated changes will look like, and Original shows the document in its original form, and in the Show Markup list, you can select the type of revisions youamp;#39;d like to see, such as Comments, Insertions and Deletions, Formatting, Balloons, and Specific People.

How to Redline in Google Docs. For the sake of transparency, its best to redline a contract in Google Docs using Suggesting mode, which allows edits to be proposed as suggestions. This functions much like the track changes function in Word and allows editors to suggest line edits and make comments where necessary.
Add a markup To enter markups mode: On handhelds, tap Insert. Add markups . On large screens, in the top toolbar, tap the Markups toggle .
Mobile Devices (iOS or Android) Tap anywhere on the text that you need to highlight. Use the markers that pop up to select the entire text, and then release your finger. Tap on the A next to the plus sign.
Click and drag your cursor through the text that you want to modify, which highlights it. Highlighting the text means that any formatting or editing tools you use are going to affect that section alone. While highlighted, click the Font color button, then the Strikethrough button. This text is now redlined.
Right-click the document and select Suggest edits from the dropdown menu. This setting allows you to redline the contract in real time by making edits to it. 2. Simply add, delete, or change the text within the document with your redlines.
Google Docs introduces a new feature, markups, allowing users to add handwritten annotations. The feature is available for Google Workspace customers and personal Google accounts. The feature includes a standard pen and highlighter colors and an eraser tool.
Here are the three easy steps for annotating Google Docs: Open your Google Drive and create a new Google Docs document that you want to annotate. Highlight the text or object that you want to annotate. Click the Comment button (it looks like a speech bubble with a + symbol) that appears on your right side.
Google Docs adds a number of underlines to text in order to help editors. In Google Docs, clicking underlined words reveals more information. A red squiggly line indicates a spelling problem. A blue squiggly line indicates a grammar problem.
