Lets avoid all the geek-speak and keep it simple; RAW files are the highest quality type of digital image a digital camera can capture. So, to my mind, any pro photographer worth their salt will ALWAYS shoot in RAW format. I always shoot in RAW format for this reason.
The best mode to use with your camera is aperture priority. This lets you control the aperture and the camera works out the rest. Aperture priority gives you the control over how much of your photograph is in focus from the furthest to the nearest point.
Providing RAW files without permission could result in copyright infringement or bdocHub of contract. In summary, photographers may not give their clients RAW files for various reasons, including preserving the integrity of their work, protecting their professional reputation, and adhering to legal agreements.
RAW will help: it will reduce some works (but still a lot of work for every photo). Approx 99% of professional wedding photographers shoot in RAW. RAW images must then be edited before being delivered to the client as a JPEG or TIFF file.
One of the largest benefits of RAW is the ability to recover shadows and highlights in post-processing without bringing in the grainy noise usually associated with high ISO settings. RAWs are very forgiving if you have severely underexposed or overexposed areas.
Many professional photographers shoot in RAW because the format captures the highest level of detail. It can often be easier to edit exposure later with a RAW file. However, shooting in JPEG has its benefits, since their smaller file sizes allow you to shoot more images at once and transfer files faster.
