To insert a picture from a file: Place the insertion point where you want the image to appear. Select the Insert tab on the Ribbon, then click the Pictures command. The Insert Picture dialog box will appear. Navigate to the folder where your image is located, then select the image and click Insert.

Inserting an image into Microsoft Word Place your cursor where youd like your image to go and left click. Then go to the Insert tab at the top of Microsoft Word. In the Insert tab, theres an Illustrations section where you will select Pictures. This will bring a dropdown of options for you to choose from.
Add or change a background image or watermark Go to Design or Layout, and select Watermark. Select Picture Select Picture, browse through your image files, and choose the image that you want to use. Select Insert. If you want the background image to show with full color intensity, clear the Washout check box.
