MyST Markdown also lets you include figures in your page. Figures are like images, except that they are easier to reference elsewhere in your book, and they include things like captions. To include a figure, use this syntax: ```{figure} ../images/C-3POdroid.
Create or open a note. On a new line, drag and drop a local image file as an attachment. On the same line and immediately next to the first image attachment, drag and drop another local image file as an attachment. Resize the images as necessary so both images appear side-by-side in the editor.
Symbols. Markdown doesnt provide special syntax for symbols. However, in most cases, you can copy and paste whatever symbol you want to use into your Markdown document. For example, if you need to display Pi (), just find the symbol on a webpage and copy and paste it into your document.
In raw markdown, you would for example write a cross-reference to a figure like this: \@ref(fig:label) . Cross-references are largely the same in visual mode, but you dont need the leading \ (which in raw markdown is used to escape the @ character).
Adding images Under your repository name, click Wiki. Using the wiki sidebar, navigate to the page you want to change, and then click Edit. In the wiki toolbar, click . In the Insert Image dialog box, type the image URL and the alt text (which is used by search engines and screen readers).
There are two options for delimiting a math expression inline with your text. You can either surround the expression with dollar symbols ( $ ), or start the expression with $` and end it with `$ . The latter syntax is useful when the expression you are writing contains characters that overlap with markdown syntax.
How do I add an image in Markdown? Use this syntax: ![ Alt Text](URL). Alt Text is the alternative description of the image, and URL is the path or link to the image.
