Insert page numbers On the Insert tab, select. If you dont want a page number to appear on the first page, select Different First Page. If you want numbering to start with 1 on the second page, go to Page Number Format Page Numbers, and set Start at to 0. When youre done, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.
Insert a page number in a header or footer On the View menu, click Header and Footer. Click the Print Settings tab. Under Headers and Footers, click Header or Footer. In the Insert AutoText box, do one of the following: To test how your changes will look on the printed form, click Print Preview on the Standard toolbar.

Final Draft opens up a simple dialog, that has three tabs: Header, Footer, and Options. To choose a format or to control the starting number, go to Header Footer Page Number Format Page Numbers. To change the numbering style, select a different style in Number format. To change the starting page number of the newly created section, select Start at, and then enter a number.
Page numbers should be placed at the top right corner with a 0.5-inch margin from the top. The left margin is set at 1.5 inches, while the right, top, and bottom margins are 1 inch each.
