You can use your phone or computer to send emails letters, and photos to an inmate. Messages are sent electronically to inmate tablets or kiosks at the facility. If you would like to send an message, start by searching for an inmate at Oklahoma Department of Corrections .
Text Messaging offers a messaging service through GettingOut that AICs can use on a tablet in their facility, though there are fees associated with the service. You can send or receive messages using your GettingOut account.
Age and Citizenship: You must be at least 21 years old and a U.S. citizen or have permanent legal authorization to work in the United States. Background Check: A thorough background investigation will be conducted, including a criminal history check, fingerprinting, and drug testing.

Education and training To become a community corrections officer with the Department of Justice you must pass the recruitment process and complete the Correctional Officers Foundational Program training course. Applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen.
A valid Washington State Drivers license. 21 years of age by the time of hire. High school diploma or GED. Must pass a comprehensive pre-employment background check.
Basic qualifications You must be at least 20 years of age at the time of application and age 21 on the date of hire. You must have a Washington State drivers license or be able to obtain one by the date of hire. You must have a high school degree or GED.
Corrections Training in Washington Within six months of hiring, new officers must attend the 120 hour training program held at the Staff Training Academy in Glynco, GA. This program will teach officers about firearms, self-defense, and correctional procedures.
