Hello Friends! Welcome to the TekTalks engineered channel. Today, we will see, how work is carried out on energized power lines, with an example. Here we can see a person working directly on an energized power line at a voltage level of 200 & 20 thousand volts, wearing a special kind of suit, hand gloves, and boots. In the video, we can hear the chattering noise, since the power line is charged. How is this person working safely on a live power line without getting an electric shock? We know, accidentally if we touch a 120 volts or 230 volts household power supply, for a fraction of a second, it can be fatal. The slightest Human contact with electricity even at the low voltage level of 120 volts to 230 volts, is very dangerous. So how the person in the video can work directly on the energized power line, which is at the extremely high voltage level of 200 & 20 thousand volts. How it is even possible to work directly on an energized power line? Let's start from the beginning. We know t...

Therefore, the exhaust gas temperature should be controlled below 135℃. If the exhaust gas temperature is too high, the lubricating oil may be carbonized and deteriorated and the lubricating performance will be reduced.
For high-altitude takeoffs (above 5,000 feet DA) the mixture should be leaned just as is done in the climb, just enough to avoid overrich roughness and subsequent power loss. This can be accomplished on the takeoff roll or by holding the aircraft with the brakes and leaning at full static run-up.
Commonly, diesel performance enthusiasts will ask: Whats a safe EGT? The short answer is anything sustained below 1350 degrees Fahrenheit is acceptable by most OEM standards so long as your other engine temperatures remain within safe boundaries.
How Hot Is Too Hot? Based on our own experience in the sled pulling and drag racing world, we can definitely say that any engine running at 1,800 to 2,000 degrees EGT for more than a second or two should be rebuilt every season and may incur turbocharger, cylinder head, or piston damage during the season.
This is known as stoichiometric mixture. Leaning the mixture further past this perfect fuel:air ratio results in too little fuel entering the cylinder for the volume of air. This results in weaker combustion (due to the fuel shortage) and the EGT starts to come down.
Diesel engine exhaust gases vary with speed and load. High loads and high speeds result in the highest temperatures. Generally, temperatures of 500700C (9321293F) are produced in the exhaust gases from diesel-cycle engines at 100% load to 200300C (392572F) with no load.
In a piston engine, EGT is a measurement of the temperature of the exhaust gases at the exhaust manifold. As the temperature of the exhaust gas varies with the ratio of fuel to air entering the cylinders, it can be used as a basis for regulating the fuel/air mixture entering the engine.
When dealing with a diesel vehicle, your EGT is a critical factor in its performance. Generally speaking, the lower your EGT, the better. At Manta Performance, we recommend that your EGT stay under 550C (as measured at the turbo outlet) to assure your engines safety.
LOP requires that once you docHub peak EGT you continue to lean the mixtureusually 25 to 50 degrees F on the lean side for normally aspirated engines. There are timesvery high power settings for onewhen LOP can be harmful to an engine, but that doesnt mean it shouldnt be practiced at all.
If everything is working properly, 1250 to 1300 F. is a safe turbine inlet temperature, even for sustained running, mile after mile. Above 1300 F. things can start to get edgy. Remember, excessive EGT damage is cumulative.
