A Diagram Legend is an element that you can add to your diagram to provide information about the colors and/or line thicknesses and styles that have been used in the current diagram, where those colors and other styles have some particular meaning.
A legend simply put is a chart with all of the symbols used in an individual diagram. It could be a mechanical, PID, electrical symbol legend, or other types of diagram. This is an invaluable tool because it simply is not possible to remember every single symbol used in our diagrams.
So here are some tips on being a legend. Be kind. Treat others with kindness and respect. Attentiveness. Be authentic. Take action. Embrace failure. Build relationships. Integrity. Work hard.
A legend is an area of a diagram (graph) that identifies colors or patterns assigned to categories from a table. A legend is usually used when there are a large number of categories in a table. Example. Given the table of information below, one possible circle graph is shown without a legend.
A legend can make your chart easier to read because it positions the labels for the data series outside the plot area of the chart. You can change the position of the legend and customize its colors and fonts. You can also edit the text in the legend and change the order of the entries in the legend.
A legend is used to identify data in visualizations by its color, size, or other distinguishing features. Simply connect one or more data visualizations to a legend and they will automatically display a table of symbols and descriptions to help users understand what is being displayed.
Legends are a useful way to label data series plotted on a graph. These examples show how to create a legend and make some common modifications, such as changing the location, setting the font size, and adding a title.
A map key or legend is an essential part of the map. It explains what the symbols on the map mean and allows you to make sense of the map. Maps are very valuable tools that can be used to easily show things that would otherwise be difficult to understand.
