To add page numbers, click Insert Page Number and choose a numbering style. If you dont see the pop-up menu, click Insert in the toolbar, then choose Page Number.
A header is text that is placed at the top of a page, while a footer is placed at the bottom, or foot, of a page. Typically these areas are used for inserting document information, such as the name of the document, the chapter heading, page numbers, creation date and the like.
Go to Insert Page Numbers. Select a position (left, center, or right, and header or footer).
To insert a preset header or footer: Select the Insert tab, then click the Header or Footer command. In the menu that appears, select the desired preset header or footer. The header or footer will appear. To edit a Content Control field, click it and type the desired information.
Go to Insert Header Footer. Add or header or footer text. Use the Options menu for additional customization. To exit, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.
If youre not already in Editing view, click Edit Document Edit in Word for the web. Click Insert Page Numbers.
Add page numbers On the Insert tab, click Header Footer. Excel automatically changes to Page Layout view. On Header Footer tab, click either the Header or Footer, and then select the page number format you want. Header page numbers appear at the top of the printed page, and footer page numbers appear at the bottom.
Insert page numbers On the Insert tab, select. If you dont want a page number to appear on the first page, select Different First Page. If you want numbering to start with 1 on the second page, go to Page Number Format Page Numbers, and set Start at to 0. When youre done, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.
