The importance of footers By listing your pages in the footer, you can incorporate relevant keywords on every page of your website. Footers are also home to key information like company contact details, which should be easily accessible to your users at all times.

A footer is text such as a name or page number that can be automatically displayed at the bottom of each page of a printed document. Compare header. [computing] Page Mode shows headers, footers, footnotes and page numbers.
A header is text that is placed at the top of a page, while a footer is placed at the bottom, or foot, of a page. Typically these areas are used for inserting document information, such as the name of the document, the chapter heading, page numbers, creation date and the like.
Go to Insert Header Footer. Add or header or footer text. Use the Options menu for additional customization. To exit, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.
If you have a header or footer already, click or tap where you want to put the page number first. Go to Insert Page Number. Do one of the following: Scroll until you see Page X of Y and select a format. Select Close Header and Footer, or double-click anywhere outside the header or footer area.
While many sites have utility navigation located in the top-most areas of their site, the footer is where users look when they search for these specific items. Users will often go directly to the footer to find contact information or locate ways to get customer support.
Change or delete a header or footer on a single page Double-click the first page header or footer area. Check Different First Page to see if its selected. If not: Select Different First Page. Add your new content into the header or footer. Select Close Header and Footer or press ESC to exit.
