The word Ticket is used because there used to be a ticket you received in the mail but we no longer use that. If you are a person with a disability between the ages of eighteen and sixty-four and receive SSDI and/or SSI, you are automatically eligible. When you decide to participate in Ticket to Work, you agree to make progress toward employment to reduce your reliance on benefits and become self-sufficient. The Ticket to Work program is free and voluntary and can help you become employed, gain financial independence, and obtain the training you need to build a better self-supporting future. The Ticket to Work program may not be right for everyone.
