These features include file compression, transparency, interlacing and storage of multiple images within a single file which allows for a primitive form of animation. There are two versions of the GIF format; versions 87a and 89a. These versions were released in 1987 and 1989 respectively.
Select the slide that you want to add the animated GIF to. In the Insert tab of the ribbon, click Pictures. In the Insert Picture From dialog box, navigate to the location of the animated GIF you want to add. Select the file, and then click Insert.
GIF stands for Graphics Interchange Format. GIF is a raster file format designed for relatively basic images that appear mainly on the Internet. Each file can support up to 8 bits per pixel and can contain 256 indexed colours. GIF files also allow images or frames to be combined, creating basic animations.
You can make a still image into a GIF with Flixier. Upload your image, edit or crop it however you see fit, then add transitions or effects to make your image move. You can use keyframes to animated it precisely and have it zoom in and out or move around the frame at different points in your GIF.
Preview/Properties Window: To play animated GIF files, you must open the files in the Preview/Properties window. To do this, select the animated GIF file, and then on the View menu, click Preview/Properties. If the GIF does not play, try re-saving the animated GIF in the collection in which you want to put it.
Animate a picture on your slide Select the first picture. On the Animations tab, select an animation effect. Click Effect Options, and then pick a direction for the animation. Select the second picture that you want to animate. On the Animations tab, pick Fly In. Click Effect Options and pick From Right.
Keep the following points in mind when using a GIF in PowerPoint: GIFs start automatically when you switch to a slide. This means that its not possible to control playback with a mouse click, so keep this in mind during your presentation. GIFs have only 256 colors, which can reduce the image quality for photos.
Tap Motion at the top of the screen and make sure Reduce Motion isnt selected. If it is, try disabling this and see if GIFs start working again. But thats not all you can do. If GIFs continue to be broken on your iPhone, it may just be that the Messages app needs to be restarted.
