Step 1: Open your Excel worksheet. Step 2: Ensure you have the start date and end date in separate cells. Step 3: In a new column or row, youll begin listing the workdays. Step 4: Use a combination of the `ROW`, `INDIRECT`, and `WORKDAY` functions to generate a list.
=WORKDAY(startdate, days, [holidays]) The function uses the following arguments: Startdate (required function) This is a date that represents the start date. Days (It is a required function) The number of workdays to be added to startdate.
The NETWORKDAYS function in Excel returns the number of workdays between two dates, excluding weekends and, optionally, the holidays you specify. The first two arguments are obligatory and the third one is optional: Startdate - initial date from which to start counting working days.
Press Ctrl+1 to launch the Format Cells dialog, and click the Number tab. Under Category, click Date, select the date format you want, and then click OK. The value in each of the cells should appear as a date instead of a serial number.
Type =WORKDAY( in the cell, without the quotes. Enter the start date in the next argument, using the format dd/mm/yyyy . Enter the number of days you want to add in the final argument. Press Enter, and Excel will calculate the future date, excluding weekends and any specified holidays.
On a worksheet, select the cell into which you want to insert the current date or time. Do one of the following: To insert the current date, press Ctrl+; (semi-colon). To insert the current time, press Ctrl+Shift+; (semi-colon).
