Close Friends Family Only You could choose to only invite close friends and family if youre going really intimate, keep to parents, siblings, grandparents and a handful of close friends.
Dear [Colleagues Name], We are excited to announce our wedding celebration and extend a warm invitation to you. As valued colleagues, your support and friendship have been a source of strength for us. We kindly request your presence on [date] at [venue] to bless us with your good wishes on this special day.
Make sure to include: You and your dates full name and titles. Whether or not you will be attending. Dinner preference (if given the option) A Thank You for the Invitation. A Sign Off.
Come your wedding day, etiquette rules still apply. Seating your guests with people they know, i.e. seating co-workers with co-workers, is recommended, but try not to force invited colleagues to mingle as the occasion unfolds. Your wedding reception should be fun for all, so let everyone socialise naturally.
It can be appropriate to go to your coworkers wedding as along as you have received an invitation. If you have been invited than RSVP yes and if you do not want to attend, RSVP, no.
Either way, the decision is yours to make. If you do not have the space or budget, it is not an obligation to invite your boss or manager, Hirst says, or any of your coworkers for that matter. Alternatively, you can also consider extending a reception-only invitation.
When adding coworkers to your guest list, consider first whether you are truly friends. If there are coworkers who you socialize with outside of the office, they should be invited, says etiquette consultant Jodi RR Smith, president and owner of Mannersmith Etiquette Consulting.
