hello this video will just quickly outline a feature related to commenting in the windows-based txt la la tech editor called tech quirks so I have this document that Iamp;#39;ve been working on and if I just hit compile right now thereamp;#39;s a rather large document as you see that preview over on the right side itamp;#39;s you know book thatamp;#39;s starting to hit 145 page I guess 148 pages and itamp;#39;s still compiling still compiling and now located is finally done and I guess thatamp;#39;s fine at times but if you know that youamp;#39;re working on letamp;#39;s just say you know I know that I letamp;#39;s say be working on Chapter five right now it is kind of bare and Iamp;#39;m not gonna really be touching you know the first four chapters and maybe what I might do is come here to this preface and okay yeah letamp;#39;s say weamp;#39;ll keep the table of contents but Iamp;#39;ve got my mouse cursor I just clicked in here right before the the preface to the studen

MiKTeX installs the TeXworks editor as standard. This has the ability to add/remove comments from multiple line (placing % at the start) using the shortcuts Ctrl + Shift + ] (insert comment)/ Ctrl + Shift + [ (remove comment).
It is often necessary to comment out temporarily a region of TeX or LaTeX code. This can be done with the commands C-c ; and C-c % . C-c ; will comment out all lines in the current region, while C-c % will comment out the current paragraph.
