To comment a block: Select the required block of code. Press Ctrl + Shift + / The beginning (/*) and ending (*/) characters will be added in the appropriate places in order to mark the selected block as a comment.
Insert a comment On the Review tab, click New Comment. Type your comment. Word shows your comment in a balloon in the documents margin.
Command + / (⌘ + /) For comments on a line of code put your cursor on that line and press the above command. Redoing it on the same line will remove the comment. For commenting multiple lines append Option(⌥) with the command.
Use the cmd + / key binding on the selected code.
How to use Java comments If the comment describes how to use the code, use JavaDoc comments /** */ If the comment only spans one line, use an inline comment // If the comment spans multiple lines, use a block comment /* */
For single line comment you can use Ctrl + / and for multiple line comment you can use Ctrl + Shift + / after selecting the lines you want to comment in java editor. On Mac/OS X you can use Cmd + / to comment out single lines or selected blocks.
Press Ctrl + / (Windows/Linux) or Command + / (Mac) to toggle commenting. The selected lines will be commented out with a hash symbol (#) at the beginning of each line. Press the same shortcut again to uncomment the lines.
