A code block, sometimes referred to as a compound statement, is a lexical structure of source code which is grouped together. Blocks consist of one or more declarations and statements.
XML Blocks are reusable pieces of content stored as well-formed, static XML or XHTML. These blocks are particularly useful when there is content/data which must be included on one or more pages of a website.
The syntax for adding XML comments in your code is triple slashes /// followed by one of the supported XML tags. Theres IntelliSense support for writing documentation comments that also provides a template comment on entering the third slash in the triple slash.
DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) is a method of writing and storing content using a set of structuring rules that tell machines how to interpret that content. Its essentially a system of tags and maps that allow you to navigate through your content more easily.
The Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) is an XML-based architecture for authoring, producing, and delivering topic-oriented, information-typed content that can be reused and single-sourced in a variety of ways.
DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) is a set of XML markup languages for authoring and publishing technical documentation. Designed to be flexible, modular, and re-usable, along the structured content model, it allows the creation and management of complex information sets, referred to as topics.
XML comments are just like HTML comments. We know that the comments are used to make codes more understandable other developers. XML Comments add notes or lines for understanding the purpose of an XML code. Although XML is known as self-describing data but sometimes XML comments are necessary.
The Code Block Component is used to extend the functionality of the XML comments tag. It provides the following features: Excess leading whitespace is stripped from the blocks to left-align them correctly. It adds support for optional line numbering.
