in this video Iamp;#39;m going to show you how to take a CSV file and convert it such that any special characters will will import into the admin console properly so special characters as in uh accents on letters and tildas are items that cannot be directly input into blue Quil without being converted to a utf8 format um and I know that sounds like a lot of stuff to remember but Iamp;#39;m going to to show you how to do that and um take you through that stepped process so the first thing I want us to look at together is the Excel file um and in other tutorials you would have seen this Excel file and have at least an understanding of how it works but again weamp;#39;re just going to concentrate on special characters so in this case we have special characters in the first name and the last name and youamp;#39;ll notice that there are no special characters in the email or username and this is very purpose uh blue Quil can support special characters in the first name and the last name

For csv, in general you need to avoid the character which you are using as delimiter, and the single row should not be split into multiple rows, meaning there should not be any enter character in between the data of a single record.
Encode CSV files. In Microsoft Excel, open the *. xlsx file. Select Menu | Save As. Enter any name for your file. Under Save as type, select Unicode Text. Click Save. Open your saved file in Microsoft Notepad. Replace all tab characters with commas (,) Click Save As.

There are no specified limits of what characters can be used in a CSV file. What limits you is how your file is encoded. If you recall from our article on choosing the right encoding, UTF-8 is the recommended file encoding, due to its vast support of just about any character possible.
