Explanation: In the book Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick, Mrs. Addison, who is the principal of the school, calls Max into her office to discuss his behavior. Throughout the story, Max, the main character, has had a history of behavioral issues and struggles with anger management.
Why was Kevin waving his crutch at the tree? So he can get his ornithopter down that was stuck. At the end of chapter, where is max pulling Kevin? Max is pulling Kevin to his house to show him the down under.
At first, she is only concerned with keeping herself safe first from Iggys anger and then from Kenny Kane, Maxs father, who is violent and bad-tempered. When Loretta discovers that Kenny is keeping Max tied up, she tries to help him escape: Keeping your own kid tied up, it aint right.
Loretta tries to get Iggy to rough Max up a little to see if he is as tough as his dad, but Iggy looks scared and says, life aint life, and he doesnt want to deal with Killer Kane finding out he messed with his kid. Iggy finally allows Max and Kevin to leave.
In Maxs case, his reluctance or difficulty to speak in class might be linked to an increased pressure to articulate thoughts verbally, especially if he has dysgraphia. Conversely, his challenges in reading and writing might be symptoms of dyslexia.
What is the escape plan Loretta describes to Max? Loretta tells Max that Iggy will keep Killer Kane busy while she gets Max loose. She also tells him that there are enough cops out there to start war, and they will be safe when they get out of this godforsaken place.
When Maxs father kidnaps Max, they go to Iggy and Lorettas to find a hide-out. Upset by the way Kane is treating Max, Iggy and Loretta plan Maxs escape. She is nearly strangled to death by Kane when she is caught untying him.
In the novel, Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick, the police come to rescue Max and Loretta from Killer Kane. In the story, Killer Kane, who is actually Maxs father, tries to harm Maxs friend Loretta. However, Max, with the help of his friend Freak, successfully contacts the police to rescue them.
