hi so today Iamp;#39;m going to show you how to write text vertically in Word thereamp;#39;s several different ways that you can do this and it depends on whether you want to write your text vertically like this or vertically like this okay so letamp;#39;s get started so as you can see we just start with a blank document so the first way and probably the easiest way that you would go for is just to simply type press the return key so that your letters will continue down the page like this and then if we just highlight it make it a little bit bigger you can see that whilst your text has been aligned vertically you can see that because word is trying to begin a sentence all of the letters aligned up aligned to the left so if I was to highlight it and Center it by going up to this icon here all itamp;#39;s going to do is simply send to my text to the center of my page so now although the letters are lined up in the center theyamp;#39;re lined up in the center of the document so whils

Click File Options. Click Advanced. Under Editing options, clear both the Use the Insert key to control overtype mode and the Use overtype mode check boxes.
Clear All Formatting or press Ctrl + Spacebar.
It is easy to turn off the overtype mode just hit the Insert key (also known as the Ins key) on your keyboard. The Insert key is always near the top-right corner of the keyboard.
Press Ctrl + Z to restore accidentally-deleted text.
In PowerPoint On the Home tab, in the Font group, click Clear All Formatting.
Press the Ins key to toggle overtype mode off. Depending on your keyboard model, this key may also be labeled Insert. If you simply want to disable overtype mode but keep the ability to toggle it back on, you are done.
If you accidentally turn on overtype mode, dont panic. Simply press the Insert key again to toggle it off.
If you press the Insert key or Ins (located to the right of the Backspace key) once; you can change your computer to Overtype mode. When your computer is in Overtype mode, the text you type replaces any existing text to the right of the insertion point and erases it. Press the Ins key to toggle overtype mode off.
