Your grant proposal should also tell a story that helps the funder relate to your project.

An abstract is a short summary of your grant narrative, it gives the reader the big picture and should motivate them to want to learn more about your proposal. Youll be required to submit an abstract for most proposals, but it is rarely part of the scoring criteria.
Summarize the goals of your project and include a statement about the broader implications for your customers, the target population, and/or society in 3-4 sentences (or ~35-40% of total word count).
