so I just put on the scene of this like Darren told me to and then he had me wipe it off as well so why why do I put it on and then wipe it off lets sit just a couple of minutes depending on the temperature there between 10 and 15 minutes let it sit on their it soaks in and then you wipe off the excess because its only make it so much the first time you put it on you can do a couple more coats but it will start to build up and the reason you know another reason why you wipe it off is if it dries thick on there it creates some one of the waxy buildup and it makes the varnish not stick as well closer so if I added this is the first layer and this is how dark the mix you made right and if I ended another layer on it you dont care so much the bottom of this piece is going to be covered here but if I put on another layer it will get dark very dark very dark er yeah but usually after only about two coats sometimes three I know Lee just do two first one gets it on their covers the basics o

For consistent color, use careful timing. Never allow any stain to dry on the wood surfaceit will prevent the clear finish from adhering and cause other issues. Remove the last of any unabsorbed stain with a dry cloth, wiping in the direction of the wood grain.
When cleaning up stains such as meat juices on a wooden surface like a cutting board, do not use a paper towel as it will not thoroughly soak up all of the liquid, recommends Lisa Sorensen, Crew Leader, Housekeeping Associates.
Wood is dried-out and dull if you do not apply some sort of sealer. Staining and finishing are two very different things. By applying pigments, a stain is meant to darken or dye wood, but the wood is not preserved by staining.
Once dry, the stain wont rub off on the bedding. However, a sealer of some sort (polyurethane, shellac, etc.) will make the surface much easier to clean, resist staining, wear better, etc.

Always give the stain a final stroke in the same direction as the woods grain. Allow the stain to penetrate ing to the labels directions, then remove the excess stain with a rag, again wiping in the direction of the grain. If you want a darker color, wait for the stain to dry and apply a second coat.
Mixing and Tinting Create Santa Fe pastel colors by tinting Pickling White Wiping Stain with up to 2.5 ounces of colorant per quart. The amount of colorant added may affect its performance and extend the dry time. DO NOT THIN.
If you didnt, the stain may still be tacky. You should not apply your clear topcoat until the stain is no longer tacky and has been allowed to dry at least as long as the label recommends. To get rid of the excess stain now, take a cloth dampened with mineral spirits and use that to scrub down the piece.
