[Music] i have two main goals whenever i need to apply color to one of my project parts one i want to get the color that im looking for and two i want that color to be consistent across the entire project great way to do that are using old masters wiping stains and gel stains and the big reason here is the control you get and thats because with both of these products theyre much thicker than the thin watery stains youll find at most hardware stores you can see with the wiping stain that it has a pretty thick consistency with a lot of color in it and the gel stain has the consistency of like a pudding so that way you can put on as much as you need and work it in for the right color using these two products is really easy too all you do is brush it on using a foam brush or even a cotton cloth across the entire surface of your project then using a cotton cloth i like to go back and start to remove the excess when im doing that i can work the stain around on the project getting the r
