XHTML was introduced in 2000 as part of the HTML 4.01 specification and has since been superseded by HTML5, which is designed to be more flexible and less strict than XHTML. However, XHTML is still used in some contexts where the advantages of its stricter rules and XML syntax are desirable.
The type=reset control creates a rectangular button that can be clicked when the user wants to clear all of the fields in a form. The form is redisplayed in its original presentation. By default the reset button is a gray color and has the text Reset displayed inside the button.
When users finish filling out the form, the submit button allows them to send the contents of the form to your CGI program. The reset button allows them to clear the form, resetting the fields to their default values. where: TYPE specifies the type of button (submit or reset).
The defines a reset button which resets all form values to its initial values. Tip: Avoid reset buttons in your forms! It is frustrating for users if they click them by mistake.
reset() method restores a form elements default values. This method does the same thing as clicking the forms control. If a form control (such as a reset button) has a name or id of reset it will mask the forms reset method. It does not reset other attributes in the input, such as disabled .
To reset all field values in an HTML form, you can use the attribute.
XHTML 1.0 Strict is the XML equivalent to strict HTML 4.01, and includes elements and attributes that have not been marked deprecated in the HTML 4.01 specification. As of November 2015, XHTML 1.0 Strict is the document type used for the homepage of the website of the World Wide Web Consortium.
Specifying image size The width and height attributes can also be used to scale an image. For example, if the image is 400310 pixels and you want to display it half-sized, specify width=200 and height=155.
