Rubbing alcohol effectively removes scuff marks from vinyl floors because it has a mild abrasive property that helps to loosen dirt and grime. Mix equal parts warm water and rubbing alcohol. Soak a clean cloth or sponge in the solution. Wring out excess water so the cloth is damp but not dripping wet.
Use a rubbing compound (which costs about $10), also known as scratch repair. Apply it with a microfiber cloth, and use circular motions to buff until you cant see the scratch any longer. Polish it. Polish the area with car polish (which costs about $15), using circular motions.
You can use a melamine sponge like a Magic Eraser on wall scuffs. Start by rubbing lightly in an inconspicuous area to make sure you wont remove any paint or wall texture. And avoid using it on wallpaper, as the sponge might be abrasive enough to remove some of the paper.
Water baking soda paste A paste of baking soda and water (mix the parts until theyre the consistency of toothpaste) is mildly abrasive, so it gently buffs away surface scuffs when you rub it on the wall in circular motions with a cloth.
Household Objects Come in Handy Common objects such as tennis balls, pencil erasers, toothpaste, and baking soda all come in handy for getting rid of those scuffs and scratches.
Rather than docHubing for harsh chemicals first, try plain water. Start with a damp, soft cloth or sponge, and gently wipe the mark so keep the surface safe. Be careful to work only on the mark itself, and resist the urge to scour the surrounding area.
First add a small amount of leather oil to the area and rub in a circular motion which may help to lessen the scratch. Leave to dry completely and apply some leather conditioner in order to maintain a good level of oil and wax in the leather. Using Vaseline is also a good option for light scratches.
Theyre a versatile cleaning tool good for removing pencil marks, scuff marks, stubborn stains, and do way better than a soft sponge on soap scum on shower walls. You can use a Magic Eraser on painted walls and surfaces, but it also comes with the risks of removing paint.
