Delete a page in Word Click or tap anywhere in the page you want to delete, press Ctrl+G. In the Enter page number box, type \page. Press Enter on your keyboard, and then select Close. Verify that a page of content is selected, and then press Delete on your keyboard.
If the blank page occurs at the end of your document and you have a section break there, place your cursor directly before the section break and press Delete. Tip: To more easily find section breaks, try switching to Draft on the View tab.
How to delete a blank page in Word documents. Click anywhere on the page you want to delete. Press Ctrl+G. In the Enter page number box, type \page. Press Enter on your keyboard. Select Close. Verify that a page of content is selected, and then press Delete on your keyboard.
Delete a section break If not showing, select Home Show/Hide to show section breaks. Section breaks look like this: Note: The type of section break shown above is a Continuous section break; there are other types of section breaks. Place your cursor just before the section break and press Delete.
Basic Solutions to Remove an Unwanted Page in Word If that fails, try this: Click the View tab from the Ribbon and select (check) the Navigation Pane in the Show section. Now, click on Pages, and select the blank page thumbnail in the left panel. Press your Delete key until it is removed.
Remove a manual page break Go to Home and select Show/Hide . This displays page breaks while youre working on your document. Double-click the page break to select it and then press Delete.
This behavior can occur when you insert a Continuous section break into the same page in which you have inserted a footnote, and the section break appears after the footnote. The new page is created to prevent footnotes (or endnotes) from two different sections of the document from being displayed on the same page.
You might have to click Backspace more than once. In other words, if you want to remove page 2 of your document, go to the top of page 3 and press Backspace; this works because the last character on page 2 is a hard page break. In this example, you might want to also delete the hard page break at the end of page 1.
